Steiff Crystal Wizard - Meyer's Diamond Jubilee Bear "The Wishing Bear"

Rare Steiff Crystal Wizard Bear - manufactured in 1989 in a limited edition of 1,000 as comemorative bear for Meyer's Diamond Jubilee 75th Anniversary. Designed by fantasy artists Tim and Rita Hildebrandt, this incredible bear stands at 8" tall (15 cm) including his hat. He is jet black mohair with unique silver/grey snout. Fully jointed with special Steiff hang tag which reads "Meyer's Diamond Jubilee Anniversary Ltd. Ed. 1989" and Steiff button-in-ear with limited edition numbered white tag. Dressed in magnificent royal blue and scarlet satin Wizard's Cape covered with silver stars and moons and a darling hat which points to the Heavens. He also wears his special "Wishing Crystal" - pure Brazilian crystal on a sterling silver chain. He holds a twinkling "Wishing Star" wand with lots of sparkle. This bear also comes with authentic provenance which includes original promotional flyers advertising the 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Commemoration 1989-1990 of Meyer's Collectable Dolls, East Brunswick NJ. There are two commorative flyers included, one is personally signed by Tim and Rita Hildebrandt. This lovely little bear has been carefully stored since its original purchase and is like store new. Complete with original box and stand.
