To celebrate the opening of FAO Schwarz new San Francisco store in 1989, Steiff designers created this bear on the basis of a model made in the late 1930`s. This superb Steiff Golden Gate Teddy Baby Bear 0285/29 was issued in a very low limit of only 2000 pieces & is now rarely seen on the secondary market. 29cm. Mohair, maize, fully jointed, wearing very cute orange felt dungarees, a check shirt & green tie. Feet are card lined which enable him to stand unaided. Ear and all other tags intact, no box or certificate. Considered near-mint condition.
